What is the BEST combination for the largest mentos explosion?

Of course everyone’s heard of diet coke and mentos, but is there anything to put mentos in that makes a BIGGER “explosion”? What’s the best thing to combine mentos with to make a huge explosion? Please give me accurate information.

Thanks for your time.

A GIANT bottle of DIET Coke, and a mechanism that slides the mentos in quickly one after the other. Then get back.

Yes, Diet Coke and a bunch of Mentos introduced quickly.

Just a note, this isn’t an explosion as most people think of it. It isn’t even a chemical reaction. It is simply the CO2 in the soda coming out of suspension extremely quickly. Mythbusters investigated this, and found that Nucleation is the cause. Simply, the molecules of CO2 find the tiny pores all over a mentos, gather there, and escape very quickly. Diet coke seems to be the best solution to use, mainly because of it’s contents and it’s viscosity.

The more mentos the better if you wanna do it that way. The faster the CO2 comes out of suspension the better (the tiny little bumps on the surface of the mentos are actually what cause this to happen). I hear that if you use about half salt half mentos it works better. Some people say just using salt without mentos is best. You might try it. And when I say salt I mean rock salt, not table salt. Preferably the large tablets that you put in a water softener. They’re cheaper than mentos anyway :D
