How does the store know if the gift card is stolen? I’m reading these stories about it occuring and I am curious. If it just if it’s never been registered at a counter? Or is there more to it?

I’ve been looking online at Bridal Shower invitations to get ideas (I’m making my own). I was looking at the wording of the invites and almost all of them said at the bottom:
Hosted by the Bridesmaids
or
Hosted by Amanda Smith and Jane Doe
or something similar. Is that only done when there is more than one hostess? If i’m hosting by myself do I put “Hosted by Katie”?

Thanks for everyone’s answers! Yes, I’m hosting by myself. Its at a restaurant and I’m paying for the buffet, alcohol, and decor out of my own pocket for 18 people. I don’t feel like i HAVE to have specific credit, I just wanted to know what is normally done.

Do you think gift card depreciation should be deemed illegal?

Have you ever looked on the back of your gift card to find out it loses a % of it’s value if not redeemed within a certain time period? Should this practice be made illegal given you’re basically fronting them money, why should they have the right to DEpreciate your money when all other avenues increase your money when fronting them money?
Does it make sense to you?

So do banks when calculating the interest adding on your investment, yet no depreciation.

The front of the box looks like the film marker (I think that’s what they’re called). Where they say stuff like “scene something something, take 70″ and snap it shut. Does this gift set include the Christmas Special? (I’m buying it on Ebay and the seller doesn’t know – he should know).

I have a large family and our bridal party is already 18 people, not including my fiance and I. I have asked two of my cousins to be involved, but unfortunately do not have any more room for the others. What jobs or privileges can I give them on my wedding day to make them feel more a part of the whole experience?

The is (or at least was) a store in NY called The Diamond Bridal Collection LTD at 260 W. 39th Street NY 10018. I have tried calling the number listed for them (212.302.0210); however, it is disconnected. Does anyone know if this business still exists and where to find it?
