I bought some things off of Amazon using only a gift card (no credit card on file). I now need to return these items, but I need to know how I will get my money back? Do they credit my gift card balance? I need to know! Thanks!

If a gift card, xbox live card, phone card, etc.. set off the alarm system at the front of the store if the product hasn’t been scanned?
We are trying to find out how the security has the ability to identify certain items.
