If you baked a cake without baking soda, it would not rise. Would it be flat and doughy or flat &hard?
I have never done this, it is a science question.
The exact question that we are having touble answering is…………..A cake requires baking soda for the realwasw of carbon dioxide during baking. What would happen it this ingredient were omitted.

I need a recipe for Layer cake with galliano & orange juice in the cake & whipped filling &topping.?
NOT HARVEY WALLBANGER CAKE!!! This was in a recipe booklet on the Galliano bottle. I don’t remember if the cake was baked in layers or was a tube pan split to allow the filling. I appreciate any help in either finding the recipe or the booklet.
I have a recipes for a Harvey Walbanger cake which calls for Galliano, but I can not seem to find it?
Is there another liqueur I could use as a substitute?
