My light pink Juicy bag is very dirty. I’ve tried the instructions that Juicy Couture gives to clean it but it doesn’t work.

My husband got diesel fuel on some of his clothes and then washed them and now, not only do the clothes still smell like diesel but, now, so does my washing machine. Can anyone suggest a way to get the smell out of my machine and the clothes?
Does fabric softner shorten the life of your cloths if used in the wash machine? Every wash? How can i prove?
