Can anyone correctly identify the triangle-shaped patch on Goose’s flight suit in Top Gun?

I have everything I need to complete a replica of Goose’s flight suit except for the triangle-shaped patch on the lower left. Anyone got some idea of what this patch might be? A proper identification could help me locate one for order.

I also have a Brioni navy blue suit, but the pinstripe is my wife’s favorite – she think it looks amazing – but I didn’t want to appear out of place with a suit I normally wear to important business events.
