I want to make a purchase online without a credit card.I’m pretty sure the RiteAid near my house sells visa gift cards. Do I just walk in, give the amount I want to put in the card, and be able to use it immediately when I get home?

We are having a bridal shower brunch at work and I need to get some ideas about what to serve? We are not allowed to use hotplates of skillets or anything so anything that needs to be cooked same day is out of the question.
